First step towards my DevOps Journey

I write blogs about DevOps current and emerging tools/technologies.
Today marks the beginning of my DevOps journey! This is the first day of the #90DaysOfDevOps challenge. I'm very excited to share my knowledge and findings with you π

Here is a Beginner's guide to DevOps :
β What is DevOps?
DevOps is about removing the barriers between traditionally siloed teams, development and operations. Under a DevOps model, development and operations teams work together across the entire software application life cycle, from development and test through deployment to operations.

β Automation
Automation is the practice or discipline of using specialized software tools and methodologies to automate repetitive and manual tasks throughout the software development lifecycle.
Example : Infrastructure-as-Code tools can automatically configure software environments based on configuration management files created beforehand.
β Scaling
Scaling in DevOps is characterized as an automation-driven environment where developers or enterprises can adopt DevOps culture and choose the right technologies to scale their business growth.
β Infrastructure
Infrastructure as code (IaC) uses DevOps methodology and versioning with a descriptive model to define and deploy infrastructure, such as networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies.
β Why DevOps is Important?
It is a software development and operations approach that enables faster development of new products and easier maintenance of existing deployments.
